How does it work?
You send me an email and we start the communication. We can do the whole process via email or you can book a 30-minute free consultation to discuss your ideas. Its all very relaxed and friendly.
Where will I find examples of your work?
I send you some samples of verses that I have written for weddings, celebrations, milestone birthdays etc, all readings in various styles, to give you a flavour of what can be done.
What kind of reading can I have?
You can choose to have a verse/reading about your love story, your journey, or have a verse written for your best friend, a loved one or a tribute. For a wedding you could choose a bespoke romantic verse or, you could have both. I love to work with you as this is a personal service and so I am flexible as to what will work for you.
How do I confirm I want to go ahead?
Once you decide to go ahead with the process, I send you a questionnaire which is a beautiful guide to help you find those gorgeous memories or a prompt sheet which helps me with all the content that I will include in the piece/pieces. You can take your time with this if you have the time, but I would require this back, in an ideal world a month before your wedding or celebration. However there are times when I can squeeze the odd reading in between other work, so please do ask if you have just decided to go ahead with a personalised reading.
Whats in the questionnaire?
Its easy, fun and thoughtful, stories, pet names, jokes, special places, hobbies, favourite takeaways, meals etc and more, lots of easy and many one-word questions to help me get the important information about the recipient or both of you, as a couple in order to reflect that in your bespoke verse.
What length will the poem/reading be?
There a few options for a bespoke verse:

How long will it take?
Once you have submitted your answers and extra information from the questionnaire, on average it can take 2-3 weeks, but this all depends on how quickly you respond to any changes etc.
How will it be sent to me and in what format?
I send you two copies of the verse on A4 soft ivory card, with a feather printed on the back. I also send paper copies. They are protected with feather printed vellum paper.
Do you offer help with the reading of the verses?
Yes, I do, in fact, I always send a recording of the verse via email, so that the person who is doing the reading is confident with the flow and feel of the piece.
How do I pay?
Once you decide to go ahead, I require 50% of the payment before I start work on the piece.
When do you need the balance of payment?
The balance of payment is required as soon as you have approved the final draft and before any copies or recordings are sent.

I work with people all over the UK, so wherever you live, I can work with you.
We can email, call and zoom, in fact, when I help brides with their speeches, a zoom call is included in the cost, as we often have to go through the speech and verse to get the flow, this really helps the lovely brides feel comfortable and helps them to own their speech.
I also use zoom to chat through the initial stages of each piece, to get an idea of how my clients speak, this helps me reflect their personality into each piece.
I use email to send my clients the prompts and drafts etc, The drafts really help with finding the words, memories and special moments that need to be noted.
If a client prefers to do some of this by phone, then that is also fine.
The main thing is that we communicate in whichever way that feels the most comfortable with you as the client.
It is a privilege to work with so many lovely people and every piece, every speech, every gift that I work on, comes from the heart as there is no other way that I could work.
